Fishing in Thailand for the Amazon Red-Tail Catfish

The Amazon Redtail Catfish is an introduced species, that is now becoming widely distributed throughout Thailand's Fishing Lakes. Starting out life as aquarium species, owners specimens quickly outgrew their fish tanks, much to the benefit of the fishing scene which saw the newcomer grow rapidly in many venues, resulting now in one or two locations boasting redtails approaching the 100lb mark. In addition to it's size the redtail is a great sport fish taking long hard runs, and is extremely pretty as far as catfish go!
