Still fishing France & Spain? Isn't it time to try something new? Thailand's fishing scene is hotting up with new venues, and world records waiting to be broken!

Shadow Lake
Shadow Lake is an up and coming venue, that offers excellent value for money
as well as a completely different stocking profile to Bungsamran. Although
the stocking levels of catfish are not as high as Bungsamran, it still holds
Siamese Giant Carp, Mekong Catfish, and Striped Catfish in sizes capable of
smashing current world records. Find out more click here...
Bungsamran
As Thailand's premier fishing destination Bungsamran needs very little introduction.
This year alone several new world records have been set, but much larger fish have been taken
as well such as two carp exceeding 200LB, and a number of Mekong Catfish over the 240LB mark. A range of
day trips are available. Find out more click here...

Giant Freshwater Stingray
Up until recently fishing for the Stingray was reserved for the privaleged few, but Thai Fishing Trip has
gained exclusive access to a spot on the Bang Pakong River system where we are virtually gauranteed to hook
up with one of these Freshwater Goliaths. The Giant Stingray is a candidate for the worlds largest Freshwater
fish species, and specimens approaching 1200kg have been taken by commercial fisherman. Find out more click here...

Trolling at Fishing World
Fishing World is one of the largest bodies of water that can be fished near to Bangkok. Although Fishing World can
be targeted from the fishing bungalows, it can prove a difficult water to tackle unless you have a boat! You enter
Fishing World via it's restaurant on stilts where you can look over the side into the water at record size Pacu, Java
Barb and many more species, before climbing onto our small trolling boat. Becuase of Fishing Worlds rural setting and its size,
and afternoons trolling followed by a meal at the restuarant makes for a stark contrast to the hectic pace of Bangkok

Tucked away from Bangkok city centre, yet close enough
for you to explore Bangkoks many attractions, Bungsamran Fishing
Resort offers both the angler and non-angler a perfect base from
which to plan fishing and non-fishing excursions. Whether your
looking for a dedicated fishing holiday, or a city break with some
fishing thrown in, we can cater for your needs. Bangkok, a city that is uniquely
vibrant, and breathtakingly cosmopolitan - is an ideal place to visit
for the non-fishing family and cultural tourists too, and with access
to air-conditioned transport to take you anywhere in the city and
beyond, an exciting yet relaxing stay at Bungsamran Fishing Resort is
virtually guaranteed.
Bungsamran has become a Mecca for the global specimen hunter due to the fact it contains several of the worlds largest Freshwater Species including:-
The Siamese Giant Carp is many carp anglers dream catch.
With weights known to exceed 150kg/330LB, this
species has been named by some as “The mother of all Carp”.
In July 2007 Bungsamran’s lake record was smashed once again with a
120kg+/264LB+ specimen caught by one of the local guides, the first time this
fish has been seen since it was stocked some 23yrs ago. There are several thousand
Siamese Carp in Bungsamran, and a large number of
these exceed the 46kg/100LB mark. Where else in the world can you stand a
realistic chance of hooking into a 46kg/100LB+ Carp?
The Giant Mekong Catfish well known throughout South
East Asia as a great freshwater sport fish, it will offer the angler
an incredible battle even on heavy game fishing gear. For the local
angler this fish is targeted for the western equivalent of match
fishing, with competitions in many fishing parks for the most fish
caught, but also for the heaviest or closest to a particular weight.
The western angler though will likely see this species once again as
an opportunity to take a 100LB specimen or personal best, which is very
possible if not likely within the context of a weeks fishing holiday, but if
you’re a match fisherman, then perhaps you might like the challenge
of catching 500KG of fish or over a 1000LB of fish in a single day?
Once again this is entirely possible at Bungsamran.
Bungsamran currently holds 12 IGFA World Records, but perhaps more importantly, Bungsamran is proud to be the venue that produces more “personal bests” in terms of an anglers biggest fish or most fish caught by number or weight in a single days fishing, than probably any other venue in the world. The average size of the Catfish in Bungsamran are 15kg to 25kg, with the largest specimens exceeding 185kg/407LB.
As well as Bungsamran‘s Carp and Catfish, the fishing in Thailand offers the keen international sports fisherman a wealth of angling opportunities, both in target species, and venues, both in Saltwater and Freshwater, at Bungsamran Fishing Resort we have access to nearly every guiding service, fishing venue and game boat in Thailand, enabling us to create a completely tailored fishing holiday for you, co-ordinating guides, transport, venues, and accommodation at your onward destinations whether that be a fishing hut on Khao Lam Dam or a luxury hotel in Phuket, we can take care of your every need, including organising excursions for non-angling family and friends.
